Microneedling

Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries to stimulate collagen and elastin production. It improves scars, fine lines, and texture. The skin heals stronger and smoother over time.

Have a question?

Have questions about Microneedling? We’ve answered some of the most frequently asked questions to help you make an informed decision about your treatment.

Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin treatment that uses tiny sterile needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin. This stimulates collagen and elastin production, helping improve skin texture, fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores and overall skin quality.

A topical numbing cream is usually applied before treatment to maximise comfort. Most patients describe the sensation as mild pressure or light scratching rather than pain.

Your skin may appear pink or red, similar to a mild sunburn, for 24-48 hours. Some people experience slight dryness or flaking for a few days as the skin heals.

While you may notice improvements after one session, most people achieve the best results with a course of 3-6 treatments, spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart. Your practitioner will recommend a treatment plan based on your skin concerns.

Keep your skin hydrated, wear a broad-spectrum SPF daily, and avoid active skincare ingredients such as retinoids, exfoliating acids, and vitamin C for several days unless advised otherwise. Avoid excessive heat, vigorous exercise, swimming and makeup for the first 24 hours or as recommended by your practitioner
